You don't need people who you are 'ready to buy' Pamella.
I've heard this phrase since day dot of being a life coach and it never sat right.
"Create an audience of ready to buy clients"
"Nurture your audience so they are ready to buy"
"Only sell to ready to buy clients"
Here's my problem with that.
Your clients are rarely 'ready' to buy.
I've personally spent over £50k on coaching - either for my own healing, business growth or a solid combination of both.
I would hazard an educated guess that MAYBE £10k of that was spent on me being a 'ready' customer. AKA - Where I was already looking for a specific solution to a problem.
The other £40k? I was SOLD.
I wasn't ready.
I like my money right where it is thank you very much.
I was sold on:
💸 WHO they were as a person (not just a coach, healer or leader).
💸 their story and where they have come from and what they've over come.
💸 the silly little things that have nothing to do with business.
💸 the client case studies they share and the work the care so much about.
💸 the fact they were so clear, confident and certain about their offer, I got curious, then interested, then ooh I want that.
💸 the fact they were entirely reading my mind with most posts, and seemed to GET what I was going through and care enough to become an expert at solving for it.
💸 the hype - yup don't deny it, I was sold on the deadline, the countdown, the limited time offer, because I didn't want to miss out.
💸 how they consciously took the time to detail the information and make it easy for me to find, to read, reread and digest, and feel safe to buy.
Knowing how YOU buy, and how your clients buy is everything. Stop focusing on attracting people who are ready - and start doing the inner and outer work to feel safe, courageous and believing enough that people will WANT what you have to offer because you have SOLD it to them.
So yes, as a business owner, it is your job to trust that clients are willingly paying you (because they literally are), but to also realise that your job is to help create the desire in them.
